Encouragement Just When I Needed It!

Hi friend!

A couple of weeks ago, I was struggling and really just having a hard time.

And God gave me this just when I needed it!

I know the picture on this post already kind of gave it away, but that's okay!

I got a comment from Emmaline (you can go to her website by clicking here!) on my last post saying that I won the Sunshine Blogger Award! 🥳

The Sunshine Blogger Award is passed around by bloggers. The founder of the Sunshine Blogger Award award describes it as “peer recognition to bloggers who bring positivity, joy and creative content to the blogging world.”

I don't really like to talk about myself this much, but here are my answers to those 11 questions:

~

What author do you look up to?

I really look up to Chuck Black. He's my favorite author, and I'm pretty sure he started his career as an author with self-publishing. He's written a lot of books! And I love them all! 😄

What is your favorite movie, and why?

Hmm. Probably War room. It's super encouraging, and every time I watch it, I am reminded how powerful prayer is, and feel motivated to do it more! (This movie is also the reason I made myself a prayer closet 😉)

What three books should every young writer read?

Hmm. Well, this question is kind of hard to answer because every writer is different, but I'd say for me: Do Hard Things by Alex & Brett Harris, Cloak of the Light by Chuck Black, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.

Who encouraged you with writing the most?

There isn't really only one person who encouraged me the most in my writing, but...Brett Harris, Jaquelle Crow, Josiah DeGraaf, (and everyone else from the Young Writers Workshop) and my family.

Where is your favorite place to write? (ex. desk, outside)

I have a little table by a window that I write at, so I can glance up sometimes and look outside! Unfortunately, there are often noisy people around, so I have to wear headphones.

If your life was in the Three Act Story Structure, where would you be now?

(If you don't know what this is, let me tell you. It's a structure that divides a narrative into three distinct parts: Act I (Setup), Act II (Confrontation), and Act III (Resolution).)

My answer would be that I am nearing the end of Act I! I honestly don't know at all though. Only the Lord does!

If you could meet anyone (living or deceased), who would it be? What would you discuss?

Jesus! 100%. I actually am going to meet him someday...in Heaven! I would/will talk about anything and everything. 😁

What is one of your favorite blogs?

Bella at Bella Raine and Julie at The Moonlight WandererAll of my other favorites are listed below!

What writing advice would you give to your younger self?

Start writing a story and stick with it. Don't get into writing a million different stories at once. Just finish at least the first draft of one story idea before moving on (if you don't like it, that is).

What is your favorite song to listen to while writing?

Well, I actually don't really like listening to music while I write, but if I do, it's instrumental. So...Nuvole Bianche!

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Grown in my relationship with Jesus! I don't really know what the future holds, but I know God is holding it!

And hopefully, I'll be holding a published book! 😉

Here are my "11" nominees. I couldn't quite think of 11, so it's 5!
