I had been eagerly anticipating this day for over a week. Finally, the class teaching how to hand knit a blanket began!
And I did... horribly.
Usually, I do relatively well with craft projects, but this one looked terrible. 😣
I worked on it for hours, but wasn't satisfied and started over. After hours of working again, I started over once more.
Finally, on the third attempt, it was starting to look good!
But then, disaster struck again.
The yarn, which I had undone from my other blanket, got tangled into a huge knot. 😢
I was so frustrated that I wanted to throw it all in the trash and never look at another strand of yarn again!
But I prayed and managed to calm myself enough to ask one of my family members to help me untangle it.
It took a while, but eventually, we untangled it and I continued on my project. This morning, I finished the blanket!
It's very imperfect, but it's a blanket, and I love it! 😇
This experience is almost exactly like our lives.
Jesus saves us and everything is amazing... but then, everything gets turned upside down. Just when we feel like we're doing well, disaster strikes again.
But God uses these trials to make us stronger and more prepared for future tribulations.
And eventually, when we get to Heaven, God's creation of us will be completely finished!
And unlike my blanket, we will be perfect!
Ooooh!! I really like the analogy! It’s a good reminder for me to keep going with Jesus even when it is hard. Will help us! And His creation of our lives will truly be beautiful in the end, even if all we can see is the messy bits right now. Thank you! I loved this post!
